Today we tried to run a dedicated half back to give the kids the opportunity to spread out to receive the ball.
We elected to play Jack H in the first half and Sidney in the second half, although all the kids wanted to be appointed the position.
In the first half we saw Brayden score first points with a blinding run down the sideline of the field. All the kids were working on setting their line with about 4 chasers all chasing a line break. This is good to see that they did not give up chasing a player whom broke away.
There was some great defensive efforts by Ryan, Hamish & Jack D. Oscar’s charismatic ball running even got a mention from both the oppositions coach and referee.
As a team the boys are growing a bond with one another and all are enjoying the game. The boys will continue with a dedicated half for the remaining season and practise passing techniques.
